First Baptist Church is a congregation
of baptized believers in Jesus as the Christ and is united in its
covenant for worship, services, instructions and ordinances
according to the Gospel.
The ministries and mission of First
Baptist Church is to reach out to all people and share with them how much God loves them in the life, service, death and resurrection of His son
Jesus Christ.
At First Baptist Church in South Hill, Virginia; we hope to do this through a variety of opportunities through Christian fellowship as we worship together as a true Church
of Christ. Whether it is our praise and worship, monthly meals, a weekly time of prayer, our Sunday School small groups or through
our worship with one another, we are intentional of being with and for one another. The church is more than a building, it is the one,
catholic, universal blending of different faiths with the same belief and conviction of who God is in
Jesus Christ. When we say
catholic, we mean all Christians around the world which defines who the
church is more than just one denomination over another. Being a
Baptist church we believe in the priesthood of all believers, scripture as our supreme guide and allowing people to come to a saving knowledge of
Jesus Christ through the waters of Baptism. May you find our Lord and Savior,
